The Japanese parent bitFlyer, Inc. (Midtown Tower, 9-7-1 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-6230; established 9 January 2014; capital JPY 4,102,380,000 incl. reserves; representative director Yuzo Kano) publishes both registration numbers directly on its own company page, so those are high confidence. bitFlyer Europe S.A. is described on bitflyer.com/en-eu as a financial institution licensed by the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance and the first Luxembourg-based company to obtain CSSF VASP registration; it has since obtained a MiCA CASP licence from the CSSF, reported as the first Japanese exchange to do so. Neither the Luxembourg RCS company number nor the CSSF/ESMA register reference number was obtainable (bitflyer.com/en-eu/legal and /about-us both 404), so those licence_number fields are empty. The NYDFS BitLicense grant date comes from the DFS press release; NYDFS virtual currency licences are not issued with public reference numbers. Existence of a clone-site warning is a useful flag for FraudSpect: sites impersonating bitFlyer EUROPE should be classed 'clone', not the firm itself.
